Information
When you get hungry you can take a stop for lunch or a traditional Swedish “fika” (coffee and cake) at the Wira restaurant. Perhaps you are interested in learning more about the unique history of iron work in Wira through a guided tour or a visit to the museum as well. You can also buy beautiful ironsmith creations in the shop, handmade from the iron-smiths that are working in Wira today. If you are interested in even more culture, there is a famous outdoor theatre every summer in the beginning of July “Wiraspelen", well worth a visit. If you fancy a swim, there is a lake only 200 m from the cottage. You can also walk/cycle to the sea. If you want to visit the archipelago you can take the ferry nearby to Ljusterö island or the boat to Siarö island. In wintertime, you should visit the Christmas market in December to get into that true Christmas spirit! Wira is nice to visit any time of the year! It is also an excellent stop if you are hiking along Roslagsleden and need a night to rest.
At Wira Bruk B&B, you will stay in a comfortable small cottage that sleeps 2 (2 single beds). You can also borrow a cot if you need to. Toilet, shower, bath and sauna are available at the bottom floor of our house, to which you will get a key and single access. In the beautiful garden you can enjoy many trees, flowers and fresh air. If you are there in the right season, there might even be some ripe cherries to taste! We also have hens walking around freely, so if you are lucky there will be fresh eggs for breakfast, which is included!
The closest town, Åkersberga, is 20 km away and you can reach it by bus or car.
Open all year round.
