Restaurang Varvet (The Wharf)

In the middle of Högmarsö Wharf, in a workshop from the turn of the twentieth century, you will find Restaurang Varvet.

Every summer, a great mix of Swedish and French classics, Mediterranean food and sometimes and Asian or American dish is served here, inside the restaurant and on the quay outside. Quite simply summer, as interpreted by The Wharf

Food is in focus, but we love wine nearly as much. Here you will find a concise but charming wine list with both safe choices and nice surprises. At the bar, you may order one of all the lovely spritzers or your favourite version of gin & tonic.

At Varvet at Högmarsö, every day of your vacation should feel like the weekend. That is why live music is performed on Mondays, wine tasting on Tuesdays and oysters and bubbles on Wednesdays.

Varvet is run by the couple Tomas Diederichsen and Klara Möller Norén. Högmarsö krog used to be at the same address, run by different restaurateurs. Tomas is a chef and has won the Swedish Cooking Championship for professionals. Klara is a trained sommelier.

As should be expected, Varvet has lots of moorings for boats, free of charge for guests to the restaurant. You can also go to Högmarsö by car, the last part of the trip by road ferry. Bus 632 and 634 from Norrtälje stops right by the ferry stop.
