During summer, there are lots of things to do – Eldfesten (the Feast of Fire), the historic play Jernets fångar (Prisoners of the Iron), guided tours in the ironworks village, outdoor dancing events at Folkets hus and the popular wool market. Go on an art-walk at Easter, visit wintry Christmas markets or one of the art exhibitions that is organized throughout the year. Buying local handicrafts and antiques or having a lovely meal in the manor house grounds can be done all year round.

Getting there is easy, there is a wide range of shopping and a vital community spirit.

The area is good for hiking for those with an interest in discovering the surroundings on foot. You can walk the Upplandsleden trail, in an open landscape, on meandering paths between the ironworks villages of Roslagen, or take a leisurely stroll along Kärleksstigen (the Lovers’ Path).
