Äventyrens Ö, Koholmen
- Visiting address: Koholmen 1
At Äventyrens Ö, an arena has been created in the natural environment that opens up and creates new communication paths. Here, kick-off groups mingle with interactive management courses and companies engaging in group development. There is also space for recovery and relaxation.
Äventyrens Ö has room for 190 overnight guests with full board and accommodation in Sommarhemmet, cottages and tents.
There are meeting rooms for 100 people and rooms for smaller groups, but most people prefer a jetty or sandy beach for their meetings. Outdoor conferences have been organized here since the start in 1994. In the evenings, people gather around the crackling campfires to socialize. 45 minutes from Stockholm Central Station - so close but still so far away from the everyday stress.
Environmental efforts at the island
Äventyrens Ö developed its first environmental program in 1994 and is today one of Sweden's most sustainable conference facilities. In the Bar Barbar, healthy locally produced food is served. Groups from all over the world come here because the guests themselves contribute to the environmental work throughout their stay.
There are consultants based on the island who work with group development. They are all behavioral scientists specializing in group dynamics, feedback, conflict management, communication, self-awareness and leadership.
Fun, adventurous group activities or just rest and relaxation
There is a plethora of fun as well as adrenaline-filled group activities. But also activities for companies wanting to offer their employees rest and relaxation. Here you will have the opportunity to refuel in a yoga session or relax and feel good in one of the 30 hammocks. Preferably in combination with a good dinner and then to climb into a steaming hot tub and enjoy the sight of torches and lanterns being lit in the autumn night. On the island you can stay in traditional cottages or around the campfires in the large huts.
The most environmentally friendly accommodation is the large huts. You will help saving well water by washing in the sea and contributing to the composts in the cute little outhouses. If you want to be more comfortable or maybe have a whole house to yourself, the Summer Home has room for 26 people and the newly renovated, or you may stay in one of the charming archipelago cottages from the beginning of the last century.
